MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 !!!

Dear Leo Blog Followers,

Thank you for your patience. I have been ever so busy holidaying I have so much to tell you all!

Well last year I had my very first Christmas! Santy must have got the big news of my arrival in the world because he didn't forget about me! He gave me some new toys and some sweet new duds, and a paddling pool. He must have known I really wanted a paddling pool because it's been raining now for days and theres plenty of little pools outside for me to play in.

Thanks everyone for my presents that you got me too. I would go through the whole list but I was just too spoiled to name them all.

So I'll give you a little run down of me and Ma and Dadda's Christmas holiday...

On Boxing day we travelled to New Zealand on the plane, my 14th flight! I'm a seasoned traveller now, I know the drill: play at the mum and dads feet, smile at the air hostesses to ensure excellent service and extra pillows, sleep most the flight then drink my bottle to unblock my ears.

So we travelled down to Picton to stay most of the time there while we boated in the Sounds. Here are some photos from our trip, I'll give you a running commentary...

Here's me in the spa bath with Nanny K. She turned the jets on and filled it up high. I know Dadda likes spa baths but I'm really not sure about it, I can't even swim Nanny K!

Ridin' in the Buggy

Dadda bought me this storage box to bath in, I'm always getting put in a box.

On the Swing with Mama in Picton

Weeeeeeee!!!!

The first day we got to Picton was a little cold so Nanny K insisted we go to the park to go on the swings and take the train around the pond. It costs 20 cents per ride. I wasn't so keen on the ride but Nanny K was yelling with joy. Sometimes I wonder who the kid is??

Bath time!

Nanny K stuck these pegs all over me, I didn't like it very much. She's a weird one that Nanny K.

On a wine tour with the whanau, I was the designated driver.

Me and Mama

Cheese and wine stop. I had a bottle of milk instead (driving and all...)

Playing in the pond

Nanny K put me in the toy box!

So that's my trip to NZ folks. I had the bestest time. It was so tiring trying to keep up with Nanny K that I slept till around 8am everyday! I was such a good boy, I can't wait to go back. Though I'm a little scared after Nanny K did put me in the spa bath, speed boat, choo choo train, toy box and did I tell you she tried to sell me at the Picton Second Hand Store!? I guess my Mum and Aunties are still living but I can't really see how?

It was great to hang out with my Uncy JJ and Aunty Paula too, I sure hope you come to visit in Melbourne town, I'd love to show you around my hood!

Here are a couple more snaps from Lorne, the finishing snaps to my Christmas holidays...

This is Harold the Koala, taken from the deck at Grandma and Grandpas house in Lorne. I was actually in bed when this snap was taken but I've met Harold many times before. When Mama and Dadda think I'm sleeping Harold and I play all the time, I consider him a pretty good friend.

This is Dadda in his wetsuit before he swam the Pier to Pub swim race. He didn't do so well, probably from the many pies and beers he had leading up to the race. But congrats to Uncy Zoon Zoon who smashed it! Poor Dadda was sad he didn't do so well so had burgers and beers to drown his sorrows after the race!

So that's my Christmas Holiday everyone! I hope I see you all next year for Christmas.

In other news I have a few updates on the life of me.

  1. As you all know I have been very hard to put to bed these days, I just love being up and playing I don't like to miss out on whats going on. So on Monday Ma and Da were started "Controlled Crying" and let me cry myself to sleep. They came in every so often to tell me to go to sleep, I was very sad but fell asleep in about 25 minutes. And since Monday I have been a good boy and got to sleep by myself, hardly any yells at all! What a good boy I am! I will try my best to keep it up.
  2. I am sipping out of the new sipper cup Mama got me. That means I can drink out of a big boys bottle with no spills on me because I am sipping, not tipping!
  3. I have learnt the word "up." which may be in part to my friend Edwardo Kun who taught me in Japan, but now I really know what it means because when Mama says it I put my arms up!
  4. I know "high five" - Mama taught me in New Zealand. So if you say "How about those All Blacks, High FIVE!" I'll put my hand up for slaps. Don't go trying to high five me about the Aussie cricket team though... All Blacks all the way!
  5. Mama and Dadda have taken to starving me so I will eat my baby bolognese. Mama had to mix it with apple puree in the end. She thinks it tastes yuck, I disagree.
Happy New Year Leo Blog Followers.

It's a weird time here in Australia. A year ago Bush fires were burning the state and Victoria was in a drought. Now The whole country is getting nothing but rain and poor Queensland in 75% flooded.

Mama got a new camera for Christmas so there'll be no excuse for Mama not taking snaps of me and updating the blog.
